What is a Celebrant?
A Celebrant is someone who writes and conducts ceremonies in a celebratory way, whether it's a naming, wedding or funeral ceremony, and any other type of celebration too. As your Celebrant, I will meet you and anyone else who will be or wants to be involved in the creation of your ceremony. I get to know you, your personality, beliefs and wishes, or those of the deceased, and together we write a beautiful, bespoke ceremony, which I deliver on the day. A Celebrant may also be known as an Officiant, Master of Ceremonies or an Orator.
I'm Louise, and I am an Independent Wedding and Funeral Celebrant in Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch in Dorset. I also conduct ceremonies in neighboring counties, or anywhere else in the UK or abroad, so please feel free to call or email me if you would like to inquire about any of the services I provide.
Using an independent Wedding or Funeral Celebrant to help coordinate your ceremony, allows you to create a personalised traditional or modern ceremony with as little or as much religious, non-religious or anything in between elements you so wish. You can handpick songs, hymns, music, readings, blessings, poems, vows, rituals and symbolisms. I can be guided entirely by you, make suggestions or a collaboration of both to write a unique and fitting ceremony that I deliver on the day.
An independent Wedding Celebrant gives you the freedom to hold your special day at any location or venue you like too. More and more couples are thinking outside of the ‘traditional’ box now and want their wedding ceremony to reflect their personality and preferences. Whether it’s simply an unlicensed venue you have in mind, indoors or outdoors, a festival type wedding in a marque, a garden or woodland location, or a beautiful beach wedding in the UK or abroad, I can help create and deliver the most perfect and memorable wedding day for you, your family and friends to remember for the rest of your lives.
As an independent Funeral Celebrant working in Bournemouth and Poole in Dorset, and surrounding counties, I create and deliver a unique and special cremation service, burial or internment of ashes at any of the local crematoriums or burial grounds of your choice. I write and conduct a beautiful and fitting memorial ceremony or scattering of ashes in pretty much any location you so wish, (permission permitting) and you will not be restricted on time or content. An end of life ceremony is a chance to get family and friends together to remember that special person you have lost. It’s a time to reminisce about their life, their character, the memories you made and experiences you shared together; including the love, laughter and the tears. It is my job to make the service memorable and capture the very essence of their existence, taking my guidance from the family that is left behind. It will be creative, bespoke, heart-warming and celebratory.
